Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe it’s 2010, but I think
we were all ready to say goodbye to 2009 – a year that will be hard to forget.
New business is at the
top of the list for everyone as the year begins. Based on our experience over the last 6 months, agencies of all
sizes are willing to go after accounts.
Agency should have a list of criteria for their prospects. A couple of areas to think about:
o Industry
– does the agency have experience in the category that is recent enough to be
relevant to the client?
o Business Challenge – has
the agency been a part of the solution to a business challenge that the client faced?
o Target – does the agency
have experience with the client’s target audience?
This is by no means an
exhaustive list, but it’s a good place to start to filter leads.
